NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream - A Review

Above: Swatch of NYX Soft Matte Lip Cream in San Paulo 08 (just been applied so not had time to 'set' or turned completely matte yet sorry.)

What they say: "It's not lipstick, nor is it a gloss. It's like nothing you've experienced before. Its lipstick cream that goes on silky but looks soft matte."

Overall i think this is a lovely product and i would definitely agree with the description, it has a very unique formula! The most amazing thing for me about this lip cream is that once applied on the lips it does not feel heavy or sticky at all. It is a very light weight formula which makes it ideal for summer time when a heavy lip stick may feel uncomfortable. The cream is very blend-able and it can be layered on for a more dramatic effect or toned down for more of an every day lip. It also smells very nice, almost like cake frosting which is a plus! The only issue that i have found when using this product is that it can have a drying effect on the lips and isn't as moisturizing as i would have hoped, this can be solved however by moisturizing your lips before applying or after applying. So for me this is a "yay!" buy!

Thoughts on NYX products?

Glossybox - June

This June Glossybox is back to the original packaging with the pink glossy trade mark box.
I feel this month is more of a summer product range.

What's inside?

GLOSSYBOX

Serie Exclusiv Pro Beauty Brush - "This classic series natural goat hair blush brush gives a supersoft
make-up application." RRP : £15.00

I was very pleased to see a brush included with this Glossybox! I love make-up brushes and have been in need of a new blush brush, i also love the trade mark on the brush as well. The only real let down is the quality of the brush, it certainly shouldn't be priced at £15.00, the bristles are not dense enough and it almost feels 'flimsy' when applying blush on the face. However i will use this brush as it is handy to take on holiday or just general use (i don't use blusher that often).

YVES ROCHER FRANCE

Mini Mascara ultra-volume Sexy Pulp - "An innovative maxi-brush with generous curves for a lash plumping result. 12-hour wear." RRP £16.90

This is my favorite product that i received in this box! I love this mascara (and i don't say i love very many mascaras so this is rare). The formula goes on to your lashes like a dream and it coats every single lash in one sweep. The mascara definitely made my lashes look a lot longer and thicker and it also lasted for a very long time unlike others that i have tried. I also love the shape of the brush, its very large and curvy to create that plumping effect. The mascara is quite pricey at £16.90,
but i think it would be worth your money for sure.

BM BEAUTY

Summer Warmth Bronzer - " Multi-purpose pure-mineral bronzer. Add a touch of summer warmth to your face." RRP - £8.00

I don't own very many bronzers, so this was a nice product for me to try out. Once applied and blended this product gives your skin as described a very nice warm summery glow which would be ideal for the beach or even for a summer night out. This sample was quite a fair size, as a little bit definitely goes a long way with this bronzer. Unfortunately the tub slipped out of my hands and went all over the floor which was a very messy job. Somehow i still managed to save a small amount of the product so it could have been a lot worse.
I would say that you have to be careful when using this product and you have to be prepared for some pigment going astray but over all i'd say that it would be very worth your money and isn't overly expensive.

AGENT PROVOCATEUR

Eau Provocateur - " A new collection of three new feminine, sensual and tantalizing day fragrances."
RRP - £39.00 per bottle.

I do love smelling and trying out new fragrances, these three however are not to my taste. They are all very womanly scents and being a teenager i prefer younger sweeter scents to the strong musky notes that these testers contain. I do feel that if i were an older middle-aged woman that i would quite like these fragrances as  they definitely are aimed at that target market in my opinion. My favorite out of the three would have to be the red bottled one which is called "Maitresse" and this is a far less musky smelling fragrance with some sweeter smelling notes.

VICHY

Dermablend  Ultra-Corrective Foundation Cream Stick - " Vichy's expert camouflage foundation stick for minor to severe skin flaws." £19.00

This product is nice, and you can tell it is a very high quality foundation. It's more of a full coverage foundation as it has to tackle skin severities. This product is not really for me however, i would use it for a concealer on any blemishes etc but it is too full coverage for my liking. I tested it out and i also found that near the end of the day my blemishes were not fully covered anymore, but if it was touched up about mid- day there would be no problem.

Overall this Glossybox was a success for me, all of the products i received i was fairly happy with and i will be using them all!

Lush "Tea Tree Water" - A Review

More of a positive review on Lush Cosmetics this time. I absolutely love this natural tea tree toner spray! It does exactly what it says on the bottle and i will definitely be re-purchasing this product again soon.
I have found that my skin has improved greatly after using this every night after removing my makeup. It smells great, feels light on the skin, helps to remove any excess makeup, tones the skin and helps fight and reduce the number of blemishes with it's antibacterial goodness!

Lush "Mask of Magnaminty" A review!

Hey all! Recently i decided to dabble a little in the "Lush Cosmetics" face masks and treatments. A few weeks back i stumbled across this 'Mask of Magnaminty' face and back pack. At first this seemed to be a product that fitted right up my street having 'problem skin' that is prone to regular breakouts, however it did not seem to do me any wonders.

What they say on the pot: "This peppermint mask does everything it can to fight eruptions and outbreaks and return your skin to tip top condition."

For me personally i found that this product certainly did not return my skin to "tip top condition" in fact it did quite the opposite. I found my skin had far many more breakouts than before after using this mask and therefore i'm hesitant to use it again. Also once applied the strong peppermint vapor made my eyes sting and water. The mask was also very cooling (my face felt like an ice-cube!) which isn't something that i find particularly pleasing either.

I do know however that everyone's skin reacts differently towards different products and this mask may well work for you.

Have you tried this product? What are your views on it?
